The tropical leaves on the islands turn their faces towards the rain, and let the rain drops roll off their faces, together with their tears.
 
Artist's comment
 
I made this piece after a brief travel to the countryside of Taiwan, where I saw lots of beautiful banana leaves and palm trees. The big sheets of leaves speak of tropics and rain, acceptance and forgiveness, utility as well as beauty.
