The fumes coming from the depth of the valcano speak of the truth from ancient times, stories that the living should pay attention to. The stories illuminate us of the origin of vast nourishment as well as deep pain.
 
Artist's comment
 
This is an early experimentation with gold paint and collaged prints on traditional Chinese paper. The tan color on the traditional paper adds a sense of tribal art to the print, juxtaposing with the Fabriano paper woodcut print, it's like two people of very different origins speaking with each other.
